Pen Bridge Report:- A police team launched a drive at Ashuganj toll plaza on Dhaka- Sylhet highway on Wednesday. The police team by searching a passenger bus recovered 5,900 pc yaba.
In this connection the police team arrested drug trader Ayesha Khatun (34), wife of Sabbir Mia of south Keraniganj thana in Dhaka.
Ashuganj thana OC Md. Billal Hossain said that a police team led by SI Md. Ishak Mia launched the drive.
During the drive another drug trader Masud (35), son of Sadem Hossain of Jagira village under south Keraniganj thana sensing the presence of the police fled away from the spot.
A case was filed against them with Ashuganj thana.
Later, the arrestee was sent to jail.
