Train oil stolen case filed against 8 including driver and guards in Akhaura

Pen Bridge Report:-A case was filed with Akhaura Railway thana accusing 8 persons including train driver and guards on allegation of stealing oil from the engine of a container train.

Railway thana sub-inspector Shovan Kum Nag filed the case mentioning the names of train driver Md. Nasir Uddin, assistant driver Abdur Razzak, guard Md. Omar Faruk, Parvez alias Jafar (31) of Kudda village under Brahmanbaria sadar upazila, Kazi Ratan (45), Murad Mia (28), Ishak Mia (30) and Shamim Mia (47).

In this connection an investigation team has been formed with 3 members headed by Md. Firoz Ali, assistant commandant R & B of Eastern Railway Zone.

Sources informed that the oil was stolen from the engine of a luggage container at Akhaura Junction on Dhaka- Chattogram Rail Route.

The sources also informed that 210 liter oil theft incident was caught on the spot on Monday night and Akhaura Railway police recovered the oil.

Railway thana OC Jashim Uddin Khandakar said that 210 liter oil was recovered at 12.15am. Railway circle assistant Police Super Md. Ershadur Rahman informed that in this connection investigation is going on and the matter has been informed to the higher authority.
