We want to create a new Bangladesh through dialogue and unity : Fakhrul

Pen Bridge Report : Two days ahead of their scheduled meeting with the Chief Adviser, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday expressed optimism that the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the election roadmap and related matters would be resolved through dialogue and national unity.

“We aim to build a new Bangladesh through dialogue and unity. Without a doubt, such unity is possible among us, and we will succeed,” Fakhrul told reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday evening upon returning from Singapore.

Responding to questions regarding the Chief Adviser’s shifting stance on the election timeline—ranging between December and June—Fakhrul voiced hope that this issue would also be addressed during their upcoming discussions with the interim government’s head on Wednesday.

Looking ahead to the Bengali New Year 1432, Fakhrul conveyed his hopes for a brighter future. “May the hearts of all people be filled with the joy of new possibilities… That is our aspiration for the nation,” he added.
