Prof Sheikh Kamal Uddin:- Truck – bus head on collusion killed 2 passengers at Kuty bus stand on Cumilla – Sylhet Highway yesterday morning.
The victims were identified as Akash, son of Rahis Mia of Charcartala village under Ashuganj upazila and Amir Hossain (34), son of Anisur Rahman under Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla district.
Police and locals informed that a passenger bus of Siam Paribahan coming from Chattogram on way to Brahmanbaria collided with a coal loaded truck coming from opposite direction. As a result the front portion of both the vehicles were seriously damaged.
Coal owner on board the truck Amir Hossain died on the spot and truck driver Akash was critically injured. He died on way to Dhaka.
